Let me start off by introducing myself, not only to everyone, but to online blogging. My name is Sergio Chavez, and for the next several weeks I will be writing about wine tasting. Many people find this to be an interesting topic, and I agree. I will write about my experiences showcasing why other people and I enjoy wine tasting.
I was first introduced to wine by my father who occasionally drank wine with his dinner or during special occasions. I always considered wine to be drank by people of a higher class or celebrations. While believing this was the case, I never paid to much attention too drinking wine or associating myself with it. Little did I know, wine is drank by people of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds.
As I grew older I began experiencing different wines and trying to understand why many people are so fascinated by it. I soon realized that every wine was distinctively different in taste and meaning. While I continue to learn more about wine, where and how is it made, I can truly appreciate every glass of wine I drink more than the last one.
I truly will be writing about wine in general including my interest in wine. I hope that people who never tasted wine, or people that have and didn’t like it, try drinking another glass. Maybe that one time you drank and didn’t enjoy the taste. It may have been because it was to dry for your liking or it was a strong red wine. Whatever the case, I too had that experience and soon realized that certain wines I didn’t enjoy the taste, but others I did. There is a wine out there for everyone's own personal taste.

Sergio, I think this is a great topic, and you're in a prime U.S. wine making region--don't let that go to waste! Make sure you add a wine tour (if you haven't already) to your list of things to do while educating us about wine for your blog.
Have you ever tried Chateau Morissette? I was at the Virginia Wine Festival just last month and they have some great chardonnays...
